Zero dark thirty @ Zero dark thirty

Finished Zero Dark Thirty @ Zero Dark Thirty @ Cinepolis @ Bannerghatta Road.

While watching, I thought the short clip of Mr. Obama speaking on TV banning torture, and playing quite the "spoilsport" in the context of the movie, was inappropriate, mainly because I felt it showed undue partisanship on the part of movie makers. But then the mind did not dwell much longerand went with the flow.

Turns out, the depiction of torture in the movie has provoked quite the debate:

The other Bigelow flick, Hurt Locker, also stirred up many, who thought that a maverick like the movie's protagonist is precisely the kind of character an extremely "team" oriented unit like the bomb squad would absolutely shun from its ranks. Of course, I am on shaky ground here, for firstly its eons since I read the piece, and secondly it's more of a fair debate,  when compared to the no-brainer the one on torture in ZDT seems.

P.S. Bannerghatta road will be absolute hell on earth once Metro construction starts.
