Expand- FC !

Well, I'm in my 3rd year, started off with the second sementer. Which means, it is time for me to do my seminar. My seminar topic happens to be 'Fuel Cell Vehicles'. Giving me all positive vibes, this topic is - my topic is perpetually in the news, and given my inherent interest in automobiles - holds lot of promise. After dowlnoading quite some matter on FC vehicles, the acronym FC is starting to lose the erstwhile meaning it held in my mind, Football Club ! What divergent expansions for the same two letters in my case- one indicating sport and free time, the other studies and work !

The pic is the interior of the GM Hy Wire concept car (FC powered), pretty awesome, how I'd like to slip into the driver's seat of this beauty ! Well, considering the 'future vehicle' tag that FC cars carry, I'll have to hold on for a decade or two. By which time I'll be at the pinnacle of senility, and can't enjoy it with youthful exuberance. Well, I have another option open- do seminal seminal work , build one for myself, and zip around. Yeah, I pick this particular option. Do pop into my place after a couple of months. I'll might take you for a drive through the neighbourhood.

Night Out at Charni Street

Sandwitched between two monstrous beings at Sukh Sagar

Happy new year to you. I suppose I needn't wish you at all, for the fact that you have taken up the the task of reading this entry, which poses a high degree of risk to the continuing health of your hapiness quotient, indicates that you are having a supremely jolly time and are confident that nothing can curtail your revelry. Well, if you think so, think hold your horses, light headed being, for you have but completed one paragraph of this entry.

My new year's eve was not spent at some swanky disco jiving to some bigshot dj's music, nor was it spent doing something extraordinary that would set the trend for the rest of the year- fighting sleep, and waging a brave and ultimately victorious battle against an army of mosquitoes ( my not contracting any dreadful ailment like Malaria or Dengue is reason enough to proclaim victory !) at Charni road station, that's what I did in the first few hours of 2007.

It was to be a gala night at Marine Drive- after a sumptuous midnight feast at some upmarket resturant, we wished to stroll along the Queen's necklace road all the way to Nariman point. However, none too heavy purses and Mumbai Police wanted their own part in our fairy tale, and we were reduced to dining at this mediocre place called Sukh Sagar ( Reminding me of the teeming millions of ____ Sagar resturants in Bangalore) and spending the nght at the decrecipit station awaiting the morning's first local.

Na, all this was exxagerated hyperbole, the dismal picture that I have panted is a bit of an illusion- it turned out to be pretty good in the end. Friendly banter throughout, company of 6 jolly chappies, and the bonhomie and cheer created thanks to the joyous occasion of new year, all ingredients combined to make a perfectly palatable dish. In hindsight, a unique and a pleasant new year !

P.S. The entry title aims to sound similar to the movie title 'nightmare at elm street'
