D Day

Happening day, I would say. Watched Will Smith(Sr and Jr) starrer Pursuit of Happyness. It was, well, not as smashing as others made it out to be. A pretty cliched plot, oft invoked pathos- the rags to riches story, considering all this, I would not rate it above 3 star. Dialogues, too were uninspiring. What was outstanding, though, was Will Smith's quirky moustache.

Evening saw me deploy salvo upon salvo of surface to air missiles. Grenades I was not allowed to hurl by my commanding officers, given the fact that the timing of the explosives was a bit erratic. The canisters did say they were of 'standard' specifications though. I adroitly maneuvered through the many mines that people around had lain on the field. I filled boxes of varying shapes and dimensions with explosive charges, and after the blast, took great pleasure in surveying the charred remains. I witnessed many a mushroom cloud in the aftermath of the thunderous explosion of the ubiquitous atom bombs.

Surface to surface missiles were fired too, only that they were SAMS deployed accidentally parallel to the ground. They cruised for a fair distance along the ground, like a vengeful Tomahawk missile bearing down upon its unsuspecting prey. Much to the consternation of those witnessing the spectacle.

Comments:
cliched plot...well it's based on a true story and mind you it (rags to riches) has become cliched 20-30 yrs hence because of very such events/stories back in the 80's
and what was good was the story telling...nothing over the top...and above all will smith
P.S: Not everything has got to be intellectually simulating
